kitchen/backend/services/llm_service.py
jtricerolph 8d688b459d Initial kitchen scaffold — Phase 1 kitchen port (build-verified 2026-07-11)
FastAPI backend (Python 3.11, MSSQL ODBC for SambaPOS, Azure DI OCR),
kitchen_db on central PG. React/TS/Vite frontend with navy sidebar layout.

Backend: auth.py (APP_SLUG=kitchen, SimpleNamespace — archive routes use
.kitchen_id/.is_admin without modification), main.py (51 migrations, scheduler,
internal router for KDS bookings feed), api/internal.py, full archive API
(31 routers: invoices, recipes, menus, sambapos, resos, newbook, disputes,
purchase_orders, etc.), models, migrations, OCR pipeline.
kitchen_id pinned to 1 (B1 — single hotel).

Frontend: AuthGate (app=kitchen, token shim for archive compat — B5b pending),
Layout (navy sidebar, 6 sections, Lucide icons, teal --app-primary),
App.tsx (Outlet pattern, UploadApp outside Layout), index.css (full :root block).
strict: false — archive components have type issues; build clean.

Note: 45 archive components call fetch('/api/...') without /kitchen/ prefix
(B5b). Runtime 404s; deferred until after initial testing.

1. Supplier match — which known supplier is this from?
2. Line item corrections — ONLY where there is clear evidence of an OCR error (e.g. missing decimal point, transposed digits). Do NOT suggest corrections where qty × price already equals amount.
3. Description recommendations — when desc vs alt_desc differ, which is the real product description?
4. Subtotal/fee detection — ONLY flag lines that are clearly non-product rows (delivery charges, subtotals, discounts, deposits, surcharges). All food/drink items are products regardless of name.
5. Total mismatch explanation — if line items don't sum to invoice total, explain why (VAT difference, missing lines, etc.)
6. VAT treatment — determine from the raw text whether the original invoice amounts are gross (inc VAT) or net (exc VAT).
7. Pack size extraction — for each product line, parse the description/raw text to extract pack_quantity, unit_size, and unit_size_type. E.g. "Chicken Breast 6x2.5kg" → pack_quantity=6, unit_size=2.5, unit_size_type="kg"."""

PRODUCT: "{text}"
This is a line item from a supplier invoice to a commercial kitchen/restaurant.
Determine the pack contents: how many units per case/pack, and the weight/volume per unit.
Examples:
- "Brakes The Juice Pineapple" → a catering juice, typically 12 × 1l cartons
- "Chicken Breast Skinless" → typically sold by weight, 1 × 2.5kg bag
- "Heinz Tomato Ketchup" → catering size, 1 × 2.5kg bottle
- "Pain Au Chocolat" → often 30 × 75g or 60 × 70g
If you cannot reasonably determine the pack size from the product name, return null values."""
